Nannys? You mean the traction control button? If you cant launch at 6k and pull the front wheels and shift into 2nd while the wheels are up in the air then you cant drive
Viper only sucks if you're steering wheel challenged. My car has TC turned off and as far as pulling the wheels... Street cars with street tires are going to have a hard time doing that. That kind of power is useless in the turnes anyhoo

The new cars are impressive size and speed wise, but they can't compete in old school value.
12,000 dollars in 1987 is roughly equivalent to 25,000 today, according to http://www.davemanuel.com/inflation-calculator.php.

Which is pretty close to what you can get a new one for. When I was considering an '11 we were looking at just under 28K for a GT with Brembos and nothing else. And the new car is obviously on a whole different level than the fox.

I guess the catch with calculators like that is most wages have not kept pace with inflation.

Compound that over 25 years and it makes it seem like they cost more.

Have you driven a Viper? Then why even go to the drag strip then? How come you never go to autox event and show everyone how awesome someone who drove in circles for years can drive. All you do is say how awesome your car can corner then go to the strip and run slow times then say how your car is built for corners?

Since you know it all and must be the greatest drag racer ever I expect the the next post from you will be all of your 9 second time slips and photos of your car with the wheels in the air going down the track.

I went to the track to beat a ZL1...

Unlikely, with the number of actual passes I make in a year, I would just be buying more expensive parts for that. It's hard laps that cause my breakage. I could however buy a new car, hang out in parking lots, and talk a lot about when I used to race. Not much breaks that way ;)

But the fact remains it does suck for being blown... Still waiting on Scott to post all his wheels up photos and his fastest time slips that I'm sure are all within .001 seconds because he has the almighty self shifting turd box for a transmission.

You didn't answer my questions mr. Richard petty.. Have you driven a viper? If not your comment on driving one is useless because you don't know what it drives like. And congrats your modded and suspension lightweight cobra beat a bone stock 5k lb Camaro, still didn't say why you don't throw up these awesome auto-x times

Still waiting for times that are faster on a roadcoarse than a zl1 from your road race fully built car with you being a professional driver and all that knows how to turn the wheel left

Oh... butt hurt your built and modded all mighty BLOWN cobra still hasn't ran as fast as my STOCK motor ls1 that had 133k miles on oh and my car ran 11.44s at 115 four times in a row, how about yours? oh wait you never went that fast with your modded blown built cobra

probably why you don't take it to a roadcoarse or auto-x event (which you say the car is built for and your a better driver than the stig) is when it runs a dookie time you finally realize you cant drive and your car cant corner and you wasted all your money and you cant take anymore shit
