Slowest trap you've seen run an 11

Just as a curiosity, what's the slowest trap you've ever seen (or done yourself) that still ran an 11. Even if it was an 11.99.

If I can find the slip, I went 11.6 @ like 78mph. lol I put it in neutral after the 1/8th. I went all the way to MIR just to find out they were teching.......so if I didn't see a good 60' I was just getting out of it.

LOL well i meant an 11 second quarter where you were trying all the way through :) I figure after seeing the zl1/blown gt duel the minimum number for an 11 has to be below 115. Just wasn't sure how much slower it could be and still tick off an 11.

So with some bolt ons 11's might be attainable with the 5 litre?

Wow so with a really good driver mod cracking 11's with a trap as low as 113 is possible. That 11.19 with a 119 is nuts!

No access to the time slip right now, but last test and tune I went 11.79 @ 113 or there about at 3200#'s.

Your question is a bit loaded asking ET to MPH without discussing weight, pretty easy to ET at a low MPH in a light weight car.

Really? How so? I figured even if its light weight if it has lower power then it would trap similarly to a heavier car that has more power all things being equal, wouldn't it?

From what I've seen it appears that for a given time there is a (somewhat normalized) distribution of MPHs that go with that given time. I wasn't trying to provoke simply trying to understand where the "reasonable lower bound" (vague, I know... lets say 2 sigmas below the mean) is for a given ET. In this case, 11.9X.

If I'm off base and the mph distribution does not follow a normal (in the statistical sense) distribution then thats a different story.

I always figured 110 to be the bare minimum trap speed needed to run 11.9s on a perfect pass. Trap speed indicates average horsepower put down throughout the pass vs vehicle weight, right? I always thought that it's really the best indicator for potential ET.

It's going to be tough to run 11.9 with a 110 trap - you'd need a perfect 60' with the right gear, tire, etc and an overall perfect pass. The more MPH you've got the easier it gets.

By the way I have gone 11.9s before at like 109-110 so very doable.
