I think it was an 08 GT500 that made cam into a GM nutswinger... just sayin....
In all seriousness, though, if you're looking to make this purchase over the winter, why not hold out a little longer than get a 2014.5 mustang. It would be a 50th anniversary one and be the new body style (even though the photos I've seen make it look like a ford fusion and a honda accord had a love child).
03, 04 Cobra's are awesome, but getting a loan for one now is very hard unless you are putting a good amount of $ down. I really liked mine and maybe have another one some day. However, I like my 11 Cali just as much if not more. The interior and ride and refinement are worlds above the New Edge body style. I know Greg (Speed Racer) is gonna have some smart ass comment. LOL
New 5.0 is way ahead of the others in terms of refinement and ride quality. With equivalent mods the 5.0 will outrun either of them. Granted, the 5.0 will cost more but you get more in return. I do not like the looks of the 2015 model and the dealer I bought mine from told me he isn't a fan of the new look either. I say buy a '14 later this year - the rebates will be very good with the new style coming out.

12.76 @ 114.04 bone stock. Koni yellow coil-overs, BMR watts, LCA and LCA relo brackets, Borla S-type axle back.
1966 Coupe - 331 stroker - Bullet custom roller cam - cam and motor installed and dyno tuned by Rodeheavers Hot Rod - Astro A5 - McLeod RXT - 486 to the wheels - more fun than my little tires can handle
1966 Oldsmobile Toronado - currently NOT on jackstands
The gt500 did indeed turn me into a gm nutswinger
I drove a new 5.0 and found it quite nice and powerful, but the looks and belly button common-ness of them do nothing for me
I have maintained that the 03-04 cobra is the best mustang ever made and if I were to buy another stang that would be it
So by my .02, I would vote for terminator
'03 Cobra not on your list?

That cobra is less than 1 mile from me. I just need more cash to put down so my payment won't be so high since 48 months is the longest I can finance an 03 04 cobra. I can swing the 11 to 12 payment now but I have to pay my 09 accord off first so I have a dd.
Have driven stock termis, pullied termi's, stock 5.0's, lightly modded 5.0's, and been passenger in a couple s/c 5.0's. Never driven an older GT500 but IMO they are the most over-hyped mustang ever (not including the '13 in that comment). That being said, I would go 5.0 all the way. The refinement over the termi is a huge difference. While the termi feels faster than what it is, the 5.0 feels slower than what it is. The 5.0 has so much potential and even though its not IRS, it handled better than the termi. Another thing to consider is the price difference between a 10 year old car vs a '14 5.0 with a warranty. I like termi's but not a good bang for the buck since a good example brings so much money.
Well-said D-Rod. 120 in the '14 feels like 80 did in my stroked '94 Cobra.

We had chance to buy '03 Cobra or '08 GT500. Went with '03 Cobra. More raw of a car. So if it were my choice I'd go with '03 Cobra, or the 5.0. Either way can't go wrong.
I know where there is areal nice 2011 with all the mods done already.

I'd do the 5.0 and add a blower to make stupid power in a modern package!
