I did a small burnout wasting the tires before I put on the new summer set.
The car felt great and ran great for the 20 or so minutes I was driving it beforehand.
After the burnout I pulled out on the highway and got on it and as soon as it hit boost it fell on its face, boost went up and the wideband went to 19+ a/f.
I looked over the vacuum lines when I got home and do not see anything off and the car and driving out of boost it is running fine.
I pulled the vac line off the frps and no smell of gas. checked the oil not a sign of gas in the oil. I cleared the code and checked everything from the spark plugs to the MAF and took it for a ride. It ran good. slowly hit boost with no problem.
About 5 minutes into the ride i tried hitting boost again and it started to do the same thing (boost goes up and a/f goes to 19+ with the car falling on its face).
It kept on stalling out and thought i would have to be towed. I decided to pull the plug on the frps and it ran fine! So i drove it home not hitting boost and the a/f was normal (13.5-16 while driving normally below 3k).
Checked the vac line/oil again no smell of gas.
NO check engine light
I plugged the frps back in and started it up. idles fine. revved it to make boost (without a load on the motor) and shut it down. The code is back P0193
Anyone have an idea before i drop 110 for a new frps that may not be the problem?
