10.72 @133 4500rpm trap speed makes power to 6k GEAR CHANGE???

Project coupdy made its debut 1/4 mile appearance yesterday, gonna do a gear change but the car went 10.72@133 with 3.27 rear gears and a 1.72 60' going through the traps at 4500rpm in 4th, car likes to be shifted at 6k, what do you guys think 3.55's or 3.73's?? Thanks, Mike

Sounds like a monster Mike! Last time I saw that car it was in a million pieces at your old place. Came a long way.

At the same MPH(133) 3.73's will only bump you up to a little over 5100 RPM crossing the stripe if you're at 4500 now. I think 4.10's would put you closer to where you want to be. They would put you at around 5650 RPM at 133 MPH with room to grow to 141 MPH at 6000 RPM if you run a little better down the road.

With a really deep gear - say 4.10 plus - are you going to be able to hook or will you be spinning a lot between gears?

After doing some math, one of two things are going on, either clutch slip or tach is off, the math don't lie, should have been at 5500 with 3.27's 133mph 26.5 tire

I should , had no tire spin issues, just turbo lag issues trying to find the cars launch rpm. 5k is the perfect rpm to eliminate my blow thru's stumble

    With 3.27s and a 26" at 133 it wouldn't be 4500. Tach off?

Tach could be off - Aren't those fox tachs notorious for being inaccurate?

I just want to maximize my et with the current boost setting, then slowly turn it up (after the e85 switch of course)
