I got this from a guy that made it for his car then went a different way. Anyway he ground all the weldsso it looked nice, then it's hogged out to within an inch of it's life inside ;) I think just welding it and leaving the welds alone should be enough. It lasted 3+ seasons the way it was, we will see.
The charge pipe had plenty (maybe too much) of flex coupler. I have a hump coupler at the bottom, the BOV tees in the middle of the line, and a coupler at the TB, that pipe is loose no issue. For sure the old motor mounts didnt help, hell maybe the new ones are too harsh (although it's as smooth as it was). I am obviously hoping this was at least partially cracked last weekend. It started idling at 3000 rpm when it opened up, still ove speed density sinceI could still drive it home :D
i thought you did have that big coupler i just couldnt figure why it would crack like that , but in that pic you can see the welds are ground and that is the reason i bet
