    Any bikers.....the pedaling type

I'm looking to replace a bike that was stolen a couple years ago. I had a Specialized Hardrock Disc. Loved it!! Put a lot of miles on that bike and had no problems with it. Unfortunately some sorry piece of trash stole it off my front porch. Anyhooo...after spending the last week in Ohiopyle I realized that I need to get a quality bike again.

I'm not looking for a high performance $1000++ bike but I don't want a K-Mart blue light special either. Looking at about 75% road/groomed trails and 25% off road. The Hardrock Disc did this well and ran about $350-400 in 2009. The local dealer has some for around $400 now but they are not the disc......and I loved the disc.

A local pawn shop has a Giant but I'm not sure what model or quality they are....or where the nearst parts dealer would be.

    Any input on other bikes?

I would recommend Trek. My buddy runs the Robinson store. If you're interested in a Trek he can set you up. His name is Christian.

If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But if it's real, you'll feel it. IG: @donuttrump

I was always a big fan of Specialized myself. Treks are good and Giants aren't bad either. I would check Craigslist for what you want first before you go out and buy something. I got a $1500 bike for like $275 last year that only had about 12 rails to trails miles on it.
