Does anyone know any tricks to get the notchiness feeling and just the general slop in these transmissions gone? Ive read nothing but bad about these transmissions why the hell does ford keep buying from those assholes????...if i was ford i would of sent tremec packing a long time ago!
Yeah, those Tremecs are all piles of junk. T56, 3550, TKO, just garbage. Maybe you should try to swap in an SROD or something.

What do you have for a cable and adjustments? When stopped, does it clunk going into gear withthe clutch in? Where is the pick-up point off the floor? If you whack the thing in gear with the clutch in, does the car want to move?
You don't need to answr any of those speciaifcally, just a long way to ask if you have the cable and linkage set-up properly, it's AMAZING what a well adjusted cable will do for shifting.
What shifter is on the car? Any good shifter should feel connected and mechanical (notchy).
Have you done a fluid change on it? What fluid is in it?
Lots of details to go through before looking at the trans itself, but how many miles on it and what kind of service life has it seen? (driver, raced, aggressive street??
What do I know, I bang gears on a T5 ;)
