A friend asked me what a 87-93 GT would dyno, 100% just like it rolled of the show room floor?
about 200 less than it needs.
5 speed... what else is there? What I'm really looking for is a dyno slip. He thinks I'm full of $hit when I say they came stock with 225hp, just beacuse my Cobra makes more than the rated power with a cat back and CAI, he thinks Ford has been up to under rating there power since Henry Ford was 12. He's one of these people that don't listen to what you tell them.
a typical exhaust and air intake 5.0 will see around 185-190rwhp. stock they are around 170
they arent real strong motors but make power where they need it
I've seen tests where a stock 5-Liter, as in air silencer not removed, base timing verified it was at the factory specified 10* (some have been reported to come through from the factory with less then 10*), the manual trans, etc. 190-195 RWHP is an average a good running 5-Liter can attain from my experience.
2011 Mustang GT, MT-82, 3.73's :
BONE STOCK 12.223@115.18
The one's that I've seen are around 170ish. I used to have a dyno graph of bone stock GT along with the one off my Beretta GTZ where my little 4 banger made 10hp :) Thank god for all the bolt on's for the 5.0!!

That was a bone stock 92 GT right down to the stock air box with a fram filter. We based lined it before adding heads, cams, intake and exhaust. From what I remember when we were done she was over 300rwhp. We almost felt bad to modify such a nice stock car, but the customer was happy with the end results.
