But I have always had a thing for wagons and when the opportunity came up to trade for this one over the weekend I couldn't resist. Long story short, I traded the pictured 40 Chevy coupe for the wagon. The coupe needed a TON of work, money and time to be road worthy, while the wagon only needed a driver so the decision was pretty easy for me.
The wagon is a 1970 Impala Kingswood nine passenger model... yes 9 people! It still has the stock 350 and powerglide for the time being, but might swap this out in the future in place of a big block and 3 speed auto or atleast do a refresh on the old 350 this winter. The wagon is in pretty good overall shape, especially the interior, but it needs a few things as time and money allow. So far I've logged about 150 miles (150 more than what the coupe was capable of) and have been smiling ever since.
