I know. That's why I'm still leaning towards the '14. A huge part is just seeing the thing being taken off the delivery truck covered in plastic. But the shelby came up and I try to be open and think on it.

For me, right there would be the deciding factor, looking at equal buy in, new car with a warranty that you can choose how to void, versus something someone else did and you now own. Of course if you want a Shelby ...

I'd do the '14 because it looks better, but i wouldn't necessarily be afraid of buying a modded car.....

After i built (well, had someone else build) my twin-turbo Trans Am, i said i'd never buy a car again, and THEN mod it.... I'll make sure i'm the one getting the deal in the future... If you do your homework, you can find a nicely modded, properly built car for only slightly more than you'd pay for it if it were stock... both of my Corvettes were modded prior to me owning them, and both have been rock solid (knock on wood). In full disclosure though, i did call to make sure that owners' statements of where the cars were modded were true ... my C6 was done at A&A Corvettes in southern California, and they verified that... its one of the most well known Corvette shops in the country.

I'd bet that 50% of the guys that say, "i'd never buy an already modded car because i don't know if it was done right" wouldn't do it right if they were doing it themselves

Well guys I made my decision. I know myself that buying a modded car doesn't bother me if its done right, which the shelby is. However the looks of the 14 are too good. So I actually changed my order and finalized it:

2014 premium GT
deep impact blue
6spd manual
Recaro seats
Track pack

Officially order today, July 30/13!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i got the premium for the shaker audio, LCD screen with track apps, ambient lighting, leather, sync etc

I dont know yet! Waiting to hear back from the dealer soon. And once I get back from vacation and the AMERICAN MUSCLE CAR SHOW!! ill make sure to find time for you to drive the SGM :)
