Major power loss with my Ranger

    Hey guys need some pointers.

im having a major power loss issue with my 93 Ranger 5 speed. Truck idles perfect at 8-900, temp guadge is normal as well as oil. Clutch pedal is firm and gears shift fine. I go all the way up to 3k rpms and no power. It's crawling up hills at 30 mph, can't get any speed or power. It's really not slipping ether. Almost feels like its in 4 wheel drive or has a parachute behind it. I changed the oil Sunday, didn't do anything. I'm changing the spark plugs Wednesday. If that doesn't do anything what should I do?

I can't help but think transmission but its shifting and not really slipping. Truck has 190k on it so it shifts like a 190k truck.

    Any tips?

    thanks!

Any change between cold and running at operating temperature?

If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But if it's real, you'll feel it. IG: @donuttrump

I only chafe when it's hot, but that's neither here nor there. I was thinking it could be a clogged up cat or something. May wanna check plugs and wires etc.

Add a few more cylinders. Always helped my Rangers run better.
