    CX Racing Absolutely Sucks

Absolutely the worst company I've ever dealt with (car parts wise, at least). Warning: Long rant.

I called last Monday (July 29) to ask about buying their V3/Novi 1200 'kit'. I'd been considering just piecing a kit together on my own, but figured for the extra $200 I'd buy their 'guaranteed to fit' kit and save myself some hassle.

I specifically asked when my kit would be shipped if I bought it - because I wanted it for the FLDs on Sunday - they assured me it would ship on Tuesday and be at my house by Friday (August 2).
I was out of town for a few days afterwards (planned on receiving the kit Friday and installing it Saturday). I come home Thursday night (August 1) and have two voicemails on my phone from CX Racing needing to 'verify my shipping address' before they'd ship my purchase. WTF? No one said anything about that. OK, whatever, one mistake, I'll roll with it.

Called them Friday morning (they were closed Thursday night) and asked why they needed to verify my shipping address - they said it was their standard policy and they do it for all purchases. Wish the guy on Monday would've told me that... I voiced my displeasure, gave them my address and they shipped the kit Friday.

Kit shows up yesterday (August 8 - 6 days after they promised it'd be here originally). I inspect it and find it's missing the top bracket for the front mount (the most important bracket). Called them last night and informed them, they said they'd ship one out. I asked them to send it overnight, which I didn't think was asking for much considering the hassle I'd already been through with them. They said they'd check, but weren't sure if they could. I asked them to call me back and let me know, and to ship the bracket ASAP either way since I'm 4 days from them and wanted to get the IC installed along with the trans project I'm in while the car is up on stands.

They never called. Figured they were shipping the bracket and started tearing into the car.

During installation today, I discovered that their 'guaranteed fitment' is a joke - they clearly didn't test fit this kit on a 5R55S car, as the instructions have the intake piping going right through transmission hard lines! It absolutely won't fit without hacking up a bunch of stuff that isn't in the directions.

Called them 30 minutes ago to inquire about my bracket and talk to tech support and I then find out the missing bracket STILL hasn't shipped! I explained that I'd missed a racing even and that the delayed shipping had really become a hassle and asked them to please send it overnight. I didn't think I was asking much - they told me flat out 'no' and 'tough luck'.

I asked for a manager/supervisor/owner - the guy who got on the phone, who identified himself as 'John - the head supervisor' literally said he doesn't care how happy I am with their product and doesn't care if I'm a satisfied customer. No BS - he actually laughed at me, said we have your money and don't care what you do now. Despite asked repeatedly, he said the owner didn't care about me and didn't want to talk to me.

I've never had such a bad experience with a vendor. Seriously, avoid at all cost.

Did you pay with a card? If so, call your company, and file a complaint. They should get your money back.

Had the same problem with a company over seas. Bought a HID kit from them, and they wouldn't answer the phone or respond to e-mails when it didn't work.

I usually type in a company name and add "reviews" to the end. You aren't alone with your displeasure for this company.

http://www.gencoupe.com/vendor-feedb...cx-racing.html This is just one of several I found. They are rated "F". I hope they do you some good, but the OP of the link really took a hosing

They aren't doing anything for me (except literally laughing at me on the phone). Like I said, I've never been treated so poorly. Avoid at all cost!

I hear ya. In the link I posted the guy told a customer that the boss has too much money and doesn't want his business! We had local pizza shop that didn't have posted hours because his pizza was the best and people will keep trying to catch him there. Pizza Hut is remodeling the place now. NO business is too big to fail. I don't buy much, but I won't buy ANYTHING from CXR. Good luck!

What happened to the supercharger setup that you already had on your car?

Same Paxton Novi 1200, just removing the straight shot intake piping and replacing it with an IC...or trying to, if I had a working IC kit and not this piece of shit CX Racing junk.

I believe CX Racing is nothing but a Chinese product reseller here in the US. What this basically entails is buying huge quantities of Chinese goods, picking them up at the sear port, driving them to a warehouse and selling from there. What you have here is not a typical retailer, but a handful of people spending all their time posting Chinese knock-offs on ebay etc. and slapping on shipping labels. They are certainly going to be hit and miss for part quality, depending on what company from China they got the parts. The profit from this is huge, and more and more folks in the US are doing it. CX Racing just happens to be one of the more popular ones. I have purchased parts from them, but i know it's going to be hit or miss.
I'm also betting they don't even open the boxes from China to verify parts, and if parts are missing they're not about to open other boxes to find you a part.
