How do you like the sound with the Kooks/GT500 setup?

Thinking back when I was trying different parts on a pushrod 302 I *thought* I was doing ok getting it to put down around 377 sae rwhp. 2 headers tested, 5 intakes tested, multiple pulls trying MAF meters/piping, eliminating accessories, A/F ratio/timing changes and other tweaks.

I like it. Listened to many combos via youtube. Sometimes the mic does not reveal the sound in it's truest state. Was dead set on the GT500 axle back but was tossing around the header choices and cross-over style for a while. With offerings from American Racing Headers, Stainless Works, Kooks, BBK, Pypes, JBA and others I tried to look at what top performing Coyote's were running. Perhaps they are all relatively close in power production, but that's how I arrived with Kooks. Then there was the H vs. X decision. Most claimed the X made more power. Perhaps a marginal amount and I didn't get into overlaying graphs between the two. So sound became the factor for that choice. I am kicking around the idea of over-axle pipes at the moment as well as an aluminum driveshaft.

Joe, the 1 piece D-shaft is one of the best mods I've done to my car. I've got the Dynatech aluminum shaft.

Wow. I hear some saying they don't feel like it did a thing and some say two thumbs up. That's why I have been on the fence about it. I was looking at dynotechs and dss's. Dont mind the increased NVH that will supposedly be accompanied with the mod. Mind sharing where you picked yours up and did the pinion angle need to be reset?

No issues with mine at all, no pinion angle change either, Dynotech rocks and that's why I'm a dealer for them, thanks again for your business Joe!
