Microburst flooded my nirghborhood on wednesday

Got caught in the worst microburst i've ever seen wednesday coming back from a job. It rained several inches in less than an hour and created massive flooding around me. My garage had about 3-4' and my basement about 5 feet. Got my son and my Camaro out (wife was at work) and that's all the time I had. Streams rose feet in only minutes. Never saw anything like it. Couldn't get back to the house till the next day and we've been cleaning and throwing stuff out for days now. Exhausting and sickning. The top two pics are high tide (my house isn't visable there, but I live in the last house on the right across from the place with the split rail fence). The bottom pic is when it started flash flooding

Man that is the worst thing to go through. Nice to hear the family is ok, and the car as well. We just had to do some work on our basement due to flooding after those heavy rains a couple months ago.

Man that sucks. Been there. I was in the desert between Phoenix and Tucson about 7yrs ago when the sister in law called. Lived in Ross, never rained at the Pirate game but really banged up the house and neighborhood. Lost a car in the garage and almost lost two trucks in the driveway, and countless other junk. Still have mud in stuff like the toolbox, it never goes away.

Best lesson out of that was don't put used oil in Tide containers. Poor sister in law took stuff to laundrymat and well...she just threw that load away. And had a huge mess in the washer.

    Sorry to see Cam.

i was in Latrobe when it hit here. Rained like I never saw before. Strange I left here, then saw all the news that right down the street looked like your place (shopping center and Rnold Palmer dealership). Heck, I went home and we had no power but went to the Pirates game. It was a nice night there. Really strange how that stuff is hit or miss.

That's very unfortunate man, I'm sure you will recover very well tho. Hope damage to the house was minimal. Just a lot of cleaning and dehumidifiers :/

Thanks guys for the kind words. The only major loss was the Ford transit work van. The adjuster came out yesterday and confirmed it's totalled. Of all the work vehicles I wish that one would have made it. We use it every single day and it's a huge loss this time of year. Lots of other littler stuff and TONS of clean up. Things are starting to get back to normal.
