    My wife ROCKS!!

Last week I grenaded the trans in the Ranger.....it's seriously toast. So I've been researching trans's for the last week and decided on a PA Competition C4. It was up on the web browser today when I went out to the garage. A couple hours later I got a "confirmation" e-mail on my phone from Summit that my order was being processed. I walked in the house and asked what that was about. She said the internet history showed that I was looking at that trans a lot and it must be the one I wanted so she ordered it.

So......it seems that I'm going to have a rockin' new trans in the Ranger!!

After ordering me a toy like that, she may just get lucky tonight!!! ;)

Ha! They are here now playing cards. I'm starring at Summit looking at a $500 convertor and struggling to pull the trigger on that.

Yea... I don't see the purpose of having an automatic unless your missing a few limbs.

I thought if I ordered that trans she would relieve me of the "boys"!!

Auto's are easier/cheaper to swap in Rangers and when I built the the truck in college I was on a tight budget. So I've just kept it that way since getting a stick to live behind this motor would be pricier.

BTW.....just pulled the trigger on a Hughes convertor.

Why didn't you just leave the browser up with the converter on there and then she would have bought it !?

Did not plan on ordering it......and hadn't realized I was going to need a new convertor even if I did order it. Looks like I need to start shoehorning the old trans out this weekend.

Good for you! I told the story, when I fragged the transmission a MIR, first thing out of mines mouth was go up to the manufactures trailers and see if you can get another so we can race :) when I fragged this last one, she asked what I was buying so we could still race at Bowling Green. I'll keep mine too ;)

What the heck is wrong with you unmarried guys?!?! You should be asking Dan and Bob if their wives have any sisters available!

I can't believe you are talking favorably about the purchase of a style of transmission that's a known to put oil down on the track.
