I never subscribe to "outplayed". If you don't win, then you lose... and in their case, that equates to the second post seasons in a row that they're missing out on. It'll be more if they don't make drastic changes. Hopefully they'll now admit that this is no longer a transition, but rebuilding...

So it's looking as though Tomlin will be fined for the incident that went on, and even worse it could cost us a draft pick. I don't know about you guys, but I'm sick and tired of him. He's always laughing and clapping, regardless of what's going on. Be a coach and direct a team. What a jackoff this guy is.. Same goes for half the players.. Celebrating after getting a first down every time. What's to celebrate? They have a losing record. Celebrate when you can actually win a game and go above 500.. But hey what do you expect from a coach that doesn't actually coach, but instead claps his hands when we turn the ball over rather than figuring things out.. Not sure what he finds so funny, I wish we would fire him, then see if he's still clapping and laughing then.. Along with the other idiots that still remain on this team :\

Chuck Knoll would NEVER even considered doing something childish like Mr Well Spoken did the other night. It's BS. It's not something that has a place in a pro sprts league.

This view really pissed me off. http://pittsburgh.cbslocal.com/2013/...rs-punishment/

I think he stepped out on purpose. This team has been going steadily downhill since Cowher left. I know Cowhers last season was poor and Tomlins netted a sb, but I think Cowher was dealing with personal issues and his head wasnt in the game. The longer Tomlin and his crew make draft picks and Cowhers are slowly dropping off, its evident Tomlin is a poor coach.

Touche, I agree with both of you. I read that article Scorp, and what bothers me the most is the idiots who are standing behind him. Here's two excerpts from what irritated me:
"It's definitely not intentional," said Diana Thacher of Milford. "Definitely not intentional."
"I don't know, maybe he heard him and tried to get out of the way," said Ray Mazzanti of New Castle. "I don't know. I really don't think he did that on purpose."

Both of these people are absolutely dense and should be slapped. The first person probably doesn't even watch football or understand the rules to begin with. The second guy should be beaten with a hammer.. "Maybe he heard him and tried to get out of the way". The guy is on the sideline, why is he watching it on the jumbo tron when he KNOWS the play is coming his way. And he would have heard him long before he got there too. But again, it's people like this who want to stand behind this moron.

And I completely agree with you SH, Tomlin rode the wave of what was left from Bill Cowhers team. Yes, Cowher had losing seasons, but every coach WILL have them. However, what's sad is seeing the draft picks that we've done go to waste. We've had minimal production off of our draft picks, we don't have an identity, and to make matters worse we have NO COACHING what-so-ever. How often do we see Tomlin actually writing something down that's going wrong? Typically the only action we see him doing on the sideline is looking into space because he's so completely confused, OR he is clapping because we turned the ball over. Instead of getting the team together and rallying and figuring out what's going on and making changes, he claps. And when he does make a change, its because our RB fumbles the ball and then he benches him, and puts someone else in. Sometimes the best thing to do is go back out there and give that kid the ball again and let him prove to you that he made a mistake cause he wants to battle back and respond to it. Same goes for this rotational RB crap we do. As soon as Bell gets hot, he pulls him and puts in Jones, and then by the time Bell comes back in, he's not in that rhythm anymore. It makes NO sense. I don't see him benching Ben for throwing an INT or missing a pass? As far as I'm concerned, I think Tomlin should bench himself for bad calls and inability to capitalize off of what he COULD have had going for him. I'm not a coach, but I did play football and I know that I never had a coach who tried to be my friend. When I made a mistake I got yelled at then told to get back out there and fix it.. Not sit there and clap and say "we're battle tested."

I was actually surprised to hear that they still had a chance at the 6th seed if they would have beat Miami. I doubt that anyone is talking playoffs now. How did the D get so bad... (rhetorical)? This was the most points that Miami has scored this year... in the snow! LOL.

A good week for football nonetheless... 83 TD- per Redzone. The end of the Ravens' game was insane... Denver... Eagles... and if only Antonio Brown would have stayed in bounds on the last play... Epic! Stepping out was just typical of the 2013 Steelers.

Nice to see them play well against a good team. There will be lots of changes this offseason, but I think this team will be solid next year. O-line has improved and Ben gets rid of the ball on time lately. And Bell is the real deal - he does everything well - much better as a rookie in all phases than I could have hoped.

I have to admit that I was disappointed that they did not draft Eddie Lacy, but I now think that Bell might have more upside...

Hard to believe, but we are still alive. If the Chiefs beat the Chargers, I like our chances next week against the Bungles. What a turnaround over this past month. Hats off to the team for not giving up at mid season. Bell continues to impress me every week. He should be fantastic next year.

    Indeed...

Succop sucks... so does Reed. I'd like to see his decision to rest all of his player backfire by losing in the first round.

I think that we could have beaten the Bungles, but doubt that we would have went any further...

    SB Prediction: Seattle vs. Denver(winner)

Lots of really good teams in the mix this year, and a bunch of average teams ( Chargers, Chiefs, Bengals, Colts, Packers ). I also doubt we would have gone too far after dismantling Cincy. It is too bad it took so long for our boys to get their act together. Next year should be better - but I see Woodley and Keisel being gone, and I think Troy will be asked to restructure his deal.

I see Seattle winning it all...unless Belichek is able to beat them. GO SEATTLE!

Who would they really have beaten if they had made it?

    Bengals....maybe.
    Broncos....no
    Patriots....no
    Chiefs......no
    Colts.......no
Chargers..lol might say yes after what the Chiefs backups did yesterday.

So hoping to see Seahawks/Panthers and Chiefs/Broncos in Superbowl.

I know that it doesn't matter now, but the refs screwed the Steelers again. There should have been a penalty on the Chargers during the missed field goal- illegal formation/stacking one side... They admitted their mistake this morning... Succop should have been given another opportunity- 5 yards closer (36 yards).

Again, too late... and they would have not made it far... and they should have beat the Raiders, and others... then they wouldn't have been in this situation, BUT, it would have been nice if they were in the playoffs this week. I'll miss the weekly playoff hype... Again!
