    rocker arm question

Does anyone have any experience or advice on using 1.7 ratio rockers with and e303 cam? I have read that changing the springs is a must and is a good idea to change out the push rods. Any info on this would be a great help.

What heads? I would definitely change the valve springs, but I would reuse the stock pushrods because I am pretty ghetto. Changing springs is much easier with the heads on than most make it out to be. I was able to do it just by bringing each cylinder to TDC, new valve seals help hold the valve closed when changing them, may as well do that while you are in there anyway.

Stock heads currently otherwise stock valvetrain besides the cam. Forgot I had the rockers from another car I built a few years back. Been kicking around the idea of putting them on.

I put a b cam in my notch with factory heads and factory rockers and I put springs in. In fact, the car had 107,000 miles on it so I took the opportunity to do valve seals timing chain etc because I was in there. I read a lot of old school posts on corral and stangnet when the alphabet cams were popular and a big ticket item for foxes and most people complained of valve float at higher rpms without upgrading the stock springs so i was not about to take the chance. Whether there is any truth to that theory I don't know and I was not about to test the theory on my car.

Mark is right. I change springs with the heads on the same way. The trick flow kit is a nice upgrade and will be plenty enough spring. Stock exhaust valve floats @ .510

X3 on changing springs with the heads on, any autoparts store sells, possibly rents, a tool to inflate the clyinder with air to eliminate the possibility of dropping a valve into the cylinder, (make sure both valves are closed before inflating with air)
