    mason dixon 9-14-13

    i took my 12 to mason today for a track rental, i got some getting used to it runs in and finally got a half decent pass in at a 12.73 @109 mph was low in right lane, i went 12.8 @113 in left lane all in all an good day, i hope to get back again soon for some lower 12 sec passes in better air and with a treated starting line todays was marginal at best , car is still stock just has gt500 ab , my bestg 60 was only a 1.9 so i know it has more left in it

    Nice day to play at the track. What rear gears do you have? How were you launching the car - with all the nannies off or just the trac button / 2 brake bumps? What rpm launch and shifts were working best for you?

    So Joe - you're saying with the 3.31's he goes thru the traps in 4th, right?

    Joe - how about some street tire launching tips? And do you get wheel hop? I sure do...

    Yes, with his mph he will go through in 4th.
    The Perelli's like a little heat in em. I just kept the same clutch actuation and kept feeding it more rpm until it spun and then backed it off a few hundred rpm. Depending on prep launch rpm as high as 4,500 rpm was utilized and with less gear more may have been a possibility. Mine hopped like an sob and some of that was resolved by dumping the clutch at a higher rpm in the burnout box e.g., 6,500.

    Not bad Troy! Should of been at PRP, there were only 14 street cars there for TNT

    rob we only had 50 cars total , i got 11 runs in 4 hours , yeah i dont have to use 5th with 3.31 gears, i was leaving about 3k today with a little clutch slip these cars like to be shifted right before the limiter
