    Best sounding fox exhaust?

I have a 88 coupe that's jut about finished except for the exhaust. I have bbk shorties and h pipe so I need a catback from the h pipe back. I've always used magnaflow with long tubes but new to shorties. So guys what exhaust do you prefer on a fox with shorties I like them loud but want a good sound nothing too raspy or hollow sounding . I have up looking for a used set so off to summit Saturday for a new set up

Hard to beat a Prochamber with Flowmasters. The '90 LX 5.0 I had sounded great, especially considering the motor was nearly stock.

Silly question. No 5.0 should ever go without Flowmasters.

If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But if it's real, you'll feel it. IG: @donuttrump

This is what I have on the T-bird. Sounds great without a bothersome droan.

I agree, fox body needs flowmasters hands down. They sound even better dumped, but will obviously make more drone in the car that way.

It's all a matter of opinion, but I would have to agree there's nothing like Flows on a Foxbody. The S197 guys have yet to find a comparable combo that sounds as good.

With the rear mount mufflers its impossible to get that Fox body sound. ... but pypes offers the mid mount muffler system although I've never heard it I'm not a fan of their systems.

Just about every exhaust combo for the S197 here:

Would be cool to have a similar compilation for the Foxes.

Also, just 2 cats and 2 straight through (AOD type) resonators with no mufflers sound very good and keep it smog legal. I ran this setup back in the day on my brand brand new 87 LX 5.0
