Ive heard of a few C7's on the dyno and one made 400 rwhp and the other made 416 rwhp. Chevy claims the car traps 120 mph in the 1/4 which is pretty far off base of a C6Z. If my only 2 choices were the C7 or the 14 GT500 id go with the GT500.
I actually just went through this as I ordered a 2014 GT500 over a C7 as the first new model years always have a bunch of quirks. (2005 Corvettes are notorious for having a ton of different issues aka 1st year of the C6) So I Decided against the GT500 and went with a C6Z and im so glad I did! I will keep this car for 2-3 years and get a C7Z probably the second year of their production.
They were 7 MPH apart with the same driver and same track in that video. That'll be a pretty embarrassing loss for the vette on the street should the two happen to meet up. I'm guessing the GT500 responds a lot better to bolt-ons too. Same as GT500 vs ZL1, GT500 wins in a straight line, and ZL1/C7 will win in the twisties.
