Bob, I'm sorry to hear this news, my deepest condolences.
My father and I have had our bitter differences, but as we get older I understand more, and I value him and his company more than anyone else. My spouse can't understand why every weekend I need to spend a day at my Pops house doing whatever he feels like doing. It's because sooner or later I too will have to deal with this someday. The man taught me everything I know about life, and it took me a lifetime to realize it. These days I value every chance I get to spend a little more time with him.
