    New Rig

    I finally pulled the trigger and traded in my Mustang along with my old F-150 for this 2013 F-150 XLT. I got an overall good deal. So far I'm in love with the truck and have yet to find anything that I don't like about it. I'm pretty impressed with the power, its actually fun to drive.

    Nice! Hope you continue to like it. I HATE the transmission in my 12 FX4. Overall I like the truck, but the transmission just seems to be pure evil. Never in the right gear. Occasionally while coasting in traffic then having to give it just a little gas it slams, feels like getting rear ended by someone at 25 MPH. If you don't stop and count to three at a stop sign the truck is still in 3rd gear. We just don't get along so well. The 4 speed in my 05 was much better.

    If you want to tune those trucks lwt me know. My tuners trans tunes are butter. Night and day over stock and impressive gains in power. I currently have the fastest tune only eco truck in the US.

    I'm running a 5 Star tune and it's improved over stock, but still just not right. Mine is a 5.0 and judging by the plate on 40thGT's so is his. Overall power is more than enough. I've thought about trying a different tune, but researching them is crazy. So and so it best, no this guy, so I gave up.

    Scorpio I know quite a few guys in our camp have switched from 5 star and say this tune blows 5 star away.

    I've been paying close attention to the transmission since I saw your comment, everything seems to be in order with mine. Always in first gear when I accelerate after coasting through stop signs. Maybe they tweeked it for the 13's?

    Nice truck! I have been contemplating selling my saab and f 150 for a new one too. Cant bring myself to spend that much money on a truck yet though.

    Thanks! You might be surprised, I was expecting to pay much more for a lesser model F-150

    +1 I haven't had any issues with my 13 and I've got over 23k on it now. Wouldn't mind getting it tuned for some more power at some point. I think a leveling kit and some tires will come first though
