very cool they got rid of the ls and put something good in there, stock motor must have spun a rod ?

The 7.0L dropped a valve because of a valve spring failure. It took out the piston and then threw a rod.

That year Z06 would have not had the LS7 7.0L engine. Must have been a LS6 5.7L.

The C5 had an LS7 swap in it. Both engines were hurt, hence the Blue Oval swap.
