2002 Yamaha R1 with 26,085 miles. I have owned it for a couple of riding seasons now. Since I have owned it, I have done the following maintenance items:
New battery - less then 100 miles
New stator - less then 100 miles
New oil and filter - less then 100 miles
New coolant sensor - 2000 miles ago
New fork seals - 4000 miles ago
New front brakes - 4000 miles ago
New chain and sprockets - 4000 miles ago
I have also added a few upgrades which include:
Matrix steering stabilizer
Hotbodies front flushmount signals
Clear Alternatives integrated rear brake light and turn signals
Black Pazzo shorty levers with gold adjusters
Shortened Yoshimura TRS slip on
Sho Gun frame sliders
Fender eliminator
Smoked windscreen
Tank pad
K&N air filter
The tires have a few thousand miles on them. They are getting a bit low but probably have a riding season left in them. The only other thing that will eventually need addressed is 2nd gear. It is beginning to get a little weak but is still completely usable. I have been riding it with no problems. Other then that, the bike runs flawlessly and is very clean for its age.
