can anyone recommend where to buy a t3650? or...

ever have one rebuilt? i called a few shops around here in canonsburg, and noone wants to touch it grr. The one guy doesnt have tools to get into it and the other wont tear it down because he said he wont know what to tell his mechanic to look for..wtf??im getting a blocking feel into 3rd and a raking feel into forth, going into 2nd and reverse feels like your dragging the shifter over a series of 3 lumps, i refuse to buy another stock tremec EVER AGAIN, i changed the fluid to amsoil which helped a lil bit, but im just getting an awful feeling that sooner or later the next shift is going to be the one that kills it.I know theres been some updates made 2nd gear and the synchro has been redesigned, a stronger shift fork for 2nd the plastic shift fork pads have been replaced with bronze ones. I called tremec first of all their custome service is fu**ing horrible and he stated there has been no updates for their transmissions. They need to just stop building their broken ass shit. Need help quick or im going to be minus a transmission here soon. Thanks guys and Happy new year

I suggest a call to Bob Hanlon, I don't think you can get better advise from anyone wether he sells you something or not.

Liberty's gears has a nice upgrade packaged or the TKO 500/600 but I don't know if they do the same for the 3650. They do nice stuff but aren't the best to talk to.

I would call Bob and see what he suggests.

Guys - is wick ( Rob ) still rebuilding these on the side? Before I bought my 1994 Cobra, he rebuilt the Tremec in it, and it worked perfectly behind the 347 stroker in the car.

ill call bob tomorrow and see what he has to say, i went through the carfax on my vehicle and apparently this is the 3rd transmission.
One replace at 11k miles and the other replaced at 30k miles ford wont help me at all, i hold them just as guilty because they keep buying the junk. I knew I should of bought one with an automatic grrrr. As long as i been on mustang forums i have seen all the issues with the t45's the t5's and the 3650's and even my uncles cobra with the 6 speed then i go out and buy one go figure..

Yes, Rob is still in the game and still does my stuff for me. I just felt based on his description he needed an upgrade plan and Bob is who I would talk to. After that either ship the whole thing out there or get the parts and get someone like Rob to put it together.

rob is still banned here but PM me if anyone needs to get in touch with him.

Have to agree with Bob in getting a hold of Hanlon for a 3650 rebuild. I have my original in storage and if I got it done would take it to him.

Now I messed up my original 3650 back in 2007. Found one in classifieds for $300 up around Cleveland. Had 60k on it and was rebuilt at 30k. Thing has been better than my original and smooth as butter at track since 2007. Maybe 28k on it since I installed. With unknown number of launches and power shifts at track. Never misses a beat. Well unless I screw up ;)

called bob today, he even agreed with me about the 3650's being outright junk. He said after hes done with it there wont be issues with it ever again. Though about even going with a t56 magnum swap but its around 4900 dollars
