I have a drum of diesel fuel that's been in a garage for a couple months. With the winter getting toward the shorter end, I will not use all of this fuel in my heaters before the warmer weather is here. I've heard there is a biological "thing" that can grow in stored diesel and it should be treated with a "biocide" agent. I've read of several types but do not recognize the brands and never noticed them around here. I use Sta-Bil is all my gas cans and vehicles that are stored for more than a couple months. I'm not sure if this would do well in diesel or if something else is better.
Does anyone here use a diesel additive to prolong it's useable life?
