Anyone know this car? 2008 GT500 in Cranberry

This sounds too good to be true. I emailed asking for the VIN but has anyone ever seen this car? I noticed there is no PA inspection sticker but everything else in the ad sounds legit. With such a low price you can't help but wonder if somethings up...

Theres no way that price is correct. Its either a scam or he posted the wrong price on accident.

Dont that year GT500's usually go for $30-35?

Wow that is a good deal. It says he's asking payoff so it might be legit.

Could be a scam - since there is a payoff there would be a time lag to get the title. I hope it is legit, but buyer beware!

Seems odd he has a 22k payoff when he bought the car new 5-6 years ago.

THis is what I thought as well.

Only possibility could be a refinance for more than needed at the time to buy the performance parts.

When their is no phone# it's a scam. Also when no answer from e-mail, it's a scam. That's CL for you.

I thought the same thing as well - hard to beleive you'd have that much of a payoff when the car would probably be paid in full by now, but you do have a point.... When i bought my vette, the guy had the car nearly paid off (4 years) and then took some money out against it to pay bills and for parts.... so he still owed like 15K on it..... so its possible, but i'd say very unlikely.... I hadn't heard of banks letting you borrow money against your already existing car loan, but he was in the military and financed through a military credit union, so i thought it might have been something special for Active Duty military personnel

If he's not the original owner the price makes perfect sense but since he bought it new its kind of fishy. I never put my phone number on any craigslist ad so I don't buy in to that theory. It's most likely a scam but it's very possible it's not.

100 bucks says his response email will be something along the lines of:

"I'm really eager to sell this. I just need your bank account number and SS number so that my bank can allow you to wire me the money!"

lol. I'd be surprised if it wasn't a scam. However, most scams on CL don't have actual real info. Its usually very vague. This guy is talking about the car's options, a whipple, a lund tune, injectors, etc. Maybe its real?
