    Track Key for Mustang GT

    Has anyone seen or heard about this yet. Ford is offering a Track Key for 2014 Mustang GTs with a build date after 7/2014. It's supposed to be very similar to the BOSS Track Key. It will change a whole lot of things like throttle response and cam timing. It will also add Launch Control and a lopey idle. I am very excited about the idea.

    They are offering a Procal option for all other 2013-2014 Mustang GTs.

    This is for MANUAL only cars.

    yeah I read about this a while back on SVTP. sucks its only the 2014s though. Guess they gotta do something to keep people interested and sell 2014s when everyone knows about the 15s coming out soon

    They have a ProCal "Track Key" option for 2013- early 2014 cars. Does the the same thing but without the key. Options are through the message center steering wheel controls

    This has been out there for a while - it isn't related to trying to keep people interested in buying the '14s. I guess it is appealing if you are concerned about not voiding your factory warranty. I'd think that many of the aftermarket tunes would provide significantly better performance gains.

    I wonder how long it will be until the other tuners come up with a launch control?

    Doesn't the SMG look amazing in the bright sun? Got a chubb staring at it this weekend!!

    The '14 is tucked away in the garage...but the wife's new minivan got a taste of the wintry mix!

    Here's some newish info on the track key

    "Improved engine performance- Up to 60lb-ft at 1500rpm & peak increases of 16 hp and 7 lb-ft on 93 octane fuel "
