For sale is a 2000 Ford Mustang GT, Spring edition. I am the third owner and had the car for about seven years since 25K miles. I completely know the in's and out's of this car. There are no liens on it, and I have the title in hand. It has a ton of options and upgrades while keeping the stock look and feel. It drives great, performs, and is efficient. All said and done, the car comes with 453rwhp and 432rwtq while still maintaining about 20mpg. Not only does it perform, it turns heads. Every time I drive it, the car it gets stares because of its sound and looks. The color attracts and the paint is beautiful. People admire from a distance and want to discuss it if they have a chance to talk to me. It's a cool feeling both driving and getting the attention.
First, it's rare. Only about 500 of these was made in the year 2000 with the spring edition color (performance red) and spring edition features (side scoops, spoiler, hood scoop, etc.) The chrome cobra rims, paint, stance, and how clean the car is makes it a beauty.
Next, it is built right and has a lot of money and time invested. I did much of the work myself so I know this car was done right. It was constructed for the track, but I never got around to racing. I lost interest, and just Sunday drive it. I bet I average about 3-4,000 driven miles a year, therefore, since it is not really needed, more important things take priority now.
The 4.6 runs and drives smooth, starts right up, and sounds mean. It has all power features that cars should have and it has been completely maintained as far as oil, filters, and cleaning. It also gets washed every few weeks and polished/waxed once per year. Once you see the paint in person, you'll be able to tell. There are only a few small dings, and scratches/swirls are barely noticable. For its age, it's impressive. (cheap insurance too)
51xxx miles are on the car, and like I said, I rarely drive it. I put the MMR 900 forged engine in at about 35xxx miles. It's garage kept and brought out only on nice days in summer. It does not see weather. Adult driven, adult owned, and adult maintained are words that are fitting to describe this one. I very much appreciate my things, so it’s clean in and out. No surprises.
Upon thinking of any flaws that the car has, the after market fuel pressure gauge inside the car stopped working. It's an autometer, and I believe it just needs a new sending unit sensor. Not a big deal and doesn't affect the car. There are a few minor, and I mean minor paint chips. On the bottom front bumper, there is a scratch that's not noticable. It has 2001 Cobra leather/suede seats, the suede does look used, but the seats are so comfy and keeps you in place. Also, I'll explain and show you the maintenance for cleaning the supercharger.
So, my price is $14,900, and with that price, I am definitely losing money. If you add up all the extras, there's about $20K just in additions. I can provide more details about the Mustang if you have any specific questions. Below is a list of the extras.
