Off to the shop today for new sticky Bridgestone RE71Rs and an alignment. In a few days she’ll be home ready for some twisties. Fuel cell, new gauges, cage, and a few other things still need done, but we are getting closer!

Thanks to a handsome Uber driver I scored a ride to pick up the car today after work. Thanks Greg!! The ride home was uneventful, which is nice considering it was 85 degrees and the car had maybe 20 miles on it the last 2 years. Brakes are steadily improving as I bed the pads. Steering is pretty tight and the car is really nimble in the turns. These RE71Rs have a LOT of grip! The A5 tranny is really beefy and quite noisy. I’m sure having the carpet out contributes to the cockpit noise, but the exhaust note makes up for it!

Now it it is time to shop for gauges and fix a bunch of little things. Paint also needs buffed. The cage guy at the shop recommended AutoPower roll bars, so I’m going to read up on them.

Fuel cell is also on the short list.

Not sure if I can wait for Santa for all of this.

At least she’s roadworthy - time for some shakedown miles!
