A convertor "glows" when it is full of fuel, or it has simply glogged itself with hydrocarbons (basically fuel but in simple form). How was your car running? Was it "missing". Did you drip any ATF into the exhaust during your trans swap? ATF=fuel in this case. It could be an O2 pegged lean and making the car run rich, but i wouldnt jump to that just yet.
right now the car has very little power .no i had the exhaust off and set aside before dropping the tranny.i also thought the exh. may be plgged up but at the tailpipe it seems to have flow
car has very little power?? as in it wont rev-up? foot to the floor...what happens??
car revs-up but without exhaust it seemed to have more power now with exhaust it will barely break the tires loose and sort of has a missing shudder.
still seems to me like a clogged cat.
yea sounds like its runnin way to ritch or is misfiring and burned up your cat. id check the fuel pressure, if it seemes to be runnin smooth. and replace the H pipe once you figurte out what caused it
