If I decide to get one mine will be auto for sale. Shifting is overrated
I'd be happy with never owning another vehicle with an Automatic.

If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But if it's real, you'll feel it. IG: @donuttrump
with the paddle shifting DCT coming for the '15 stangs, I MIGHT be talked into it, but I want to see reviews of the system before I'd do an auto.
hmmm, have you noticed that most vehicles in the performance world have been going with auto transmission. Wonder why that is..![]()
...cuz people are lazy and don't know how to drive fast and turn at the same time?

Show me some low 4 sec stick cars and I'll switch back. Fastest tt coyote went from a 9.6 6speed to a 8.1 testing in a powerglide.. manuals are just an excuse for being slow. Exactly why most exotics are paddle shift autos
Most exotics are paddle shift autos for this mere fact..
imagine missing a shift or downshifting in the wrong gear in 700 HP Lambo
at 8500 RPM

Funny because the fastest and best handling race cars in the world have paddle shifters in a semi auto tranny.
No, it's because they are targeting the crowd that's going to buy the car and what's it's made for going down the track as quick as possible.
. How many bolt on 6speed coyotes at full weight go 10s?
My comment is an inside joke between cam and I. I like the idea of a paddle shift DCT
Let's not confuse the hellcat with the best handling cars in the world. I guess I'm just old-school. I don't see the appeal of a fast car that is just as fast no matter who is behind the wheel - be it a pro-racer or a 16 year old cheerleader who just got her learner's permit.
Technology isn't always the way to go. There is a reason MLB doesn't use aluminum bats and the PGA doesn't allow square grooves. It allows the better athletes to shine and keeps thing competitive.

How is technology not the way to go? Technology put us where we are today. And I wasn't talking about the hellcat built for turns I was speaking about automatic transmissions.
Face facts, drag racing is an easy sport for 95% of america. what makes it hard is the money you have to spend if you wanna go fast. And guess what if you wanna go fast an auto will get it done better and cheaper. So if you wanna go fast and don't have much money, an auto should be in your budget. I know of someone who swears up and down about stick cars who is know going to an auto because he knows it will be cheaper and faster and hold more power. Fastest roll race cars are also autos. it's just the name of the game.
Autos are boring.
That's all.
i drive for enjoyment. Going fast is more enjoyable, but going fastest just isn't that important to me when a computer does it. I'd rather participate more in driving... automatics make as much sense to me (in an enthusiast's car) as a chaeufer driven Porsche 911.
Didn't know f1 cars are boring?
And fast is in the eye of the beholder. Because my race car was Alot more fun than my Procharged c5z because it just feels slow.
So a 5 speed fiat 500 is more exciting and fun than an auto coyote car?

I think it is more impressive to be consistent with a manual vs being fast because like mentioned before the auto can't out shifted in a straight line. Which seems to be the purpose of this particular car...
