I would have used a 4 eye nose. Maybe a 85-86 nose.

They should have left the Fairmont front end on it, it would have been cool then. Now, not so much.

They could have done a nicer job. A different set of wheels ditch the stripes and that awful hood scoop

I still think it is neat. Not everyone's taste, but nice to see those wagons getting used. You see a Mustang coming up on you from behind on the highway, then it pulls up next to you and surprises you. If it would have a 500 horse stroker in it that would really be fun.

Loose the scoop, loose the stripes, nicer wheels/stance and paint it comp orange.

It would look better with a 4 eye fox front end or the original one.
I could stomach the red one. I still think it would better with right nose on it though.
I'm on the fence here
Never got the wagon fascination for the most part ... I do have a 2 door Pinto wagon squirreled away, but it's likely to stay there because it's a wagon :D
I think as was said, if you can look past the scoop, stripes, and front 4x4 stance it could be a fun car. Make it clean, drop the nose, and have some fun.
i like wagons

If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But if it's real, you'll feel it. IG: @donuttrump
