    Friday evening amusement

So I was hanging out in the garage Friday evening....just cleaning a few things up. The Ranger was setting outside. All of a sudden I hear someone revving the motor as they drive by....I tried to get a look but only saw the tailgate of a small truck go by. Later I was outside and it went by again...cracking the pipes. This time I saw it and waved him back. He turned around and pulled in. I asked him that if he's revving the motor each time he rides by my place, he must want a race. He simply replied "maybe...I heard your truck was pretty quick". I said maybe.....you're about to find out how quick. The truck was a Ranger also with some sort of a V8.

So I led him down to a local stretch of road that works well for test hits. We lined up. I told him to go when ready since he'd need the head start. He jumped on it and I let him get a car or two ahead then I reeled him in easily....rode beside him for a second then laid on it and freight trained him. I let off at redline in second gear and had three or four bus lengths on him. Since we had to turn around to head home I told him let's do it again. And again I let him make the first move. This time I didn't give him any wiggle room.....as soon as he moved I let her eat. He got maybe a fender out on me and that was all she wrote. I let off again at the top end of second and had about twice the lead as the first time.

Afterward he did say he had a 302/T5 combo in his truck. He asked what I had.....just told him that I had a few more cubes than him with a noisy cam.
