Ford/Shelby can throw all the HORSEPOWER in the world at that car and it still will be an overweight/overpriced disappointment. I have driven the "test mules" and street versions of the Shelby and would not trade them my 03 Cobra unless they included a sizable amount of cash. The Shelby is minimum of 500 lbs. too heavy. The added weight makes this thing push. If you want to make a corner, turn the wheel and weight 5 seconds and then the nose might consider going where you have asked it to. Even the Ford Racing/Multi Matic built cars are very tempermental on track.

All the HP in the world will NOT make this a better performing car than a C6 Z06...........

it is sad to say this is true, i have drove two of them and they are just way too heavy. If they could get the weight down i gurantee this car would smoke a new z06, but until they get this fixed the c6 z06 will own everytime, but i would still rather have a shelby cuz i love me a ford

I read an article about this one. I agree about the weight, but I'd still take it. Although I still perfer the GT500KR.

Yeah, I'm still stuck on this car. Its like the first time I saw the '07 Shelby Cobra...thats all I thought about for like a month. Can't tell you how many times I watched the commercial!:p

i agree...never driven either but just by lookin at the numers the z06 weighs 3130 and the GT500 weighs 3920, over 2 tons if you throw a driver in it! And i definatly have a lot of respect for the z06 after seeing this vid http://videos.streetfire.net/video/1...ad58b417fb.htm

o well, id still pick a GT500 over the z06 anyways
