I bought that Ranger I looked at. It's a 1991, light blue, 88k miles, 2wd, short bed, 8 plug 2.3, bedliner, toolbox, extra studded tires and 5 speed. Rubber floor mat (awesome!), A/C but manual steering. That's weird. But it looks like it came out of a freakin' time capsule.....it is in excellent condition. Paid $1250. Pics tomorrow.

Here's a pic of the truck from the ad. The dent on the fender is the only mark on the truck....may dolly it out. Roof need recleared but that's an easy thing. I'm looking for a set of wheels.......any clean used 5 lugs around??

Looks great Dan! I had a 1991 Ranger 2wd regular cab short bed 5-speed with the 2.3. Bought it in 1994 from my buddy who bought it new. It was a Strawberry Red XLT with red interior. It was flawless - not one mark on it. Dan - if you find a nice set of the aluminum XLT rims it will really wake her up. These photos aren't of my truck - but show what I'm talking about.

John..........thanks but think I want something without the mustang pony on it. Maybe a Bullit style wheel with the Ford center cap.

Looks good Dan. My first vehicle was an 87 Ranger 2wd 5spd 4cyl. Two tone brown baby! I still love rangers, but I like the 4wd variety. I've got a 2000 that I do yard work with and bang around in the woods. One day I'd really like to build an 04+ with a coyote swap and 4wd

My first vehicle was an 86 Bronco 2. I will own another one in the future. I loved that thing. Mine was red and silver 2 tone. I'd love to have one setup like this...

I'll park both side by side and take a money shot tomorrow. It's hilarious....one runs a 195/75-14 on the back and the other runs a 325/50!!

I like anything out of the ordinary /stupid.
(I drive a 3.8 ford turd motor mustang with a big ole turbo on it)

A friend and I were discussing starting a project car the other day actually. We have a 302 to drop in something, and we want it to be rwd, and stupid.
We were thinking an rx7 might be good. or a 240sx. Although we did find a ranchero on craigslist, which would be cool to slam it on its nuts and put some like 4.56 gears in and make it a tire slayer

    Just a little 500 whp V6

I was actually thinking about you (in a manly way!!) on the ride home yesterday.......wondering how hard a turbo swap on that thing would be. It's got the 8 plug 2.3L.
