Thumbs up ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

My brother in law, Senior Chief Morrison on the USS Fort McHenry, challenged me today to the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.

I gladly accepted the challenge, and in turn called out the crew that had originally challenged him.

That's his 2008 black mustang behind me.
I've been detailing that car for the last 2 days.
Project video and pics coming soon.

    Enjoy.

Great stuff! Nice work, and my thanks to your brother in law and all of the sailors on the USS Fort McHenry.

I did mine last week. Balaska347 called me and our buddy Rich out, so we did it together. My uncle Joe, a WWII vet, passed from ALS in 1997 at 71. There is a lot of good coming from this, from the awareness and dollars raised for ALS, to the fun people are having doing the challange, and the memories being made doing it. Rich's 7 year daughter and her friend did the pouring on us. My friends had their 2 little girls join them, and all did it. Another friend's granddaughter did it with him, giggling all the way. Those are memories of good times that will stay with them.

I'm glad this is happening. My father passed away from ALS when I was 18. Very sad and horrible illness, also very unknown and rare. The awareness it is bringing is fantastic.

    I wish I didn't care about this.

But out a little over 3 years ago a close friend of mine... he was 46 then and his kids were 7 and 10... told me he had been diagnosed.

The disease is crippling, and then worse... but here's what he and his wife have done:

They have raised just over $1 million so far. Please check it out, he's a real Pittsburgh guy.
