I'm on the fence for sure .... read that the other day, and am really confused by what it will mean to "us" ... A pure radial sure as heck is never going to work on my stuff, I'm just not sure how much radial, and how much biased they will build into those things.
Hope Hoosier keeps going with the Quick Time Pro until we understand it.
I know this is old but has anyone seen any updates? I run Hoosier QTPs everywhere and if these new et streets have the same hook with better puncture resistance, I will give them a shot.

are you going to have to run bias ply fronts with these? I'm running et streets on the rear and oem specs on the front.

I've always heard about how you're not supposed to mix radials and bias ply. For me though, I've always had radials on the front, and bias ply DOTs or full slicks, no issues, but I'm not all that fast either (12.0/110 best).
I am looking forward to hearing some results on the MT Pro Bracket Radial.
Nothing is clear from anything I have seen / heard. There is still confusion over what the names even represent now, lol ... For me the best thing I read was on YB from a MT tire guy recognizing the need for a DOT biased tire for clutch guys and that there would be some offerings in the line up.
For now I'm staying on my Hoosier QTP's, more wait and see. Based on the old tires, it was clear for me the QTP's are quicker / faster but MUCH less forgiving. The ET Street hooked up better in broader conditions. Not as fast when the track was good, but god help you on the Hoosiers if the conditions aren't great. The ET street at least could be managed anywhere.
FWIW, I always have run radial fronts with biased rears like Chuck said. I'm now 11 flat, 125-128 mph and still see no reason to change. For sure I get my butthole puckered at times with slick walk, but every time it's happened I have been WAY down on air pressure. I don't think it's a mixed tire thing, just the rear tires doing their thing. My issue is that I must have a DOT front tire, and the options in a biased front are VERY limited with a DOT stamp.
Hoosiers on a not so good track ....
Isn't this essentially the Pro Radial, which has been proven to work very well even for manual cars, just for larger wheels, and wider widths?

Bob,
Thank you for the info. I don't have enough seat time at the track to get a feel for the QTPs and make any calls but they seem to work at the FLDs with heat in them. Your vid gave me flashbacks. That's the exact lane I pushed my head gasket and went for one heck of a ride. Came to a stop and pulled the seat out of my butt.lol I didn't hit anything but the coolant under the tires made for one ride I would rather not go on again. Think I still made a 10.6 pass.
