A little Mason Dixon action ...

A group of us headed to Mason Dixon today to close out the season. I didn't have great hopes since I haven't really driven anything in months, let alone dropping a clutch in anger...

was as cold as hell, first few passes was open time trials on the full 1/4 while they tried to get some heat and rubber on the thing. Mostly blew the tires off, but got one decent hit. Car moved around a little ;)

after those couple of passes we changed to 1/8th mile to race. best 1/8th mike pass ...

Big tire truck. Big tire guys didn't suffer on the cold track as much as us small tire folks.

it felt good to make some passes before putting it away

lol, not sure I cleared all the aggravation but it felt good to shift in anger again ;)

my race season basically consisted of one TnT at Mason where I broke the dog rings, one test and tune that it went 10.99, one where I pushed a Headgasket getting greedy, it sat 3 months, I raced one regular race day in the heat (Brewer race), then raced this one at MD to close it out. Lots of pent up rage for 2015 :)

FWIW, I had one goal left for this car I haven't met. It went in the 10's, it's been over 125 mph in the 1/4, and it's been over 100 mph in the 1/8th. The missing one is 6.99 or better in the 1/8th. No chance to 60' what that would take on this last outing so it will need to wait to next season.

Bob, you know I'm most impressed with the .012 and .002 bulbs!! :D And the 7.09 should be in line with the 660' from the 11.09 pass... you'd think that was a bracket car. I hope you come out swinging hard in '15.

I like M-D, always treated well there, have a lot of fun, but wish there was more track prep. There was some scary run at the SBRA race last month.

Really cool that Joe Zeoli won on Saturday.

Hey Mike!, I just asked the wife if she had heard from you. Yes, I plan to run as many NMRA and NMCA races as possible next year. I, still going to be buried in this Chiba mess for Bradentin, but if I get a new truck in time will be at Comnerce and the rest. Planning my assault on 11-00

john - I'm really happy with my junk now. I just need one more move on the clutch, going to find about 100#'s in the car, and race the snot out of it again.

Chuck - was absolutely thrilled to see Joe win. ww had 5 of his motors there and all did well (I lost in Semi's). You know the deal, even blind squirrels find nuts but I will say, that F'ing bottom bulb looked like a basketball Saturday. I was .001, .012, .002, .015 (got 1st round bye), .011, then threw a .060 to his .024 to loose. For not looking at a tree in more than three months I owned that one. Yeah, traction was shit there for small tire guys, I've struggled every time I've been there.

That's even more impressive Bob, whacking the tree like that after that time away from it. I had Rich's TA there for the SBRA race, hooking hard all weekend, then 3rd round Sunday, blew the tires off immediately at the hit, as in just sat there and spun. I hate losing like that. I don't need any help messing up!
