    wanted - S197

In the market to get back into a Mustang. Looking for GT or more (no 6's), and 2005 - 2009, or 2011 to 2013 (preferred range). I do not want one with lots of after market work done to it, but some is fine. Also, especially interested in a Shelby GT, or a Shleby GT500.
Please let me know here or through pm. Thanks.

Hi Ron - good to see you here! It's great to be back in a Mustang. The Boxster was a good car, but there is nothing like the stang.

No Saleen, but I saw that car. Very nice example. The one I bought is a "brand new" 06, with literally only 10240 on the clock. Owned by an older gentleman since new. I will do some tasteful mods to it (hood, hood pins, front chin spoiler, and a few go-fast bolt-ons). I'm so happy to have found this example. My favorite years are, in order, '05 to '09; '69-'70; 2011 to 2014; and 67 - 68. So I found one now that is the color combo of the very first one I ordered back in '04, but it never came, so I got a torch red then. This closes the loop on it - back to the beginning for me.
Until it warms up outside, here are the pics that I have thus far:

Legend Lime is a color they should have kept around longer. Very nice!

Here it is after the transformation. Still have to add the chin spoiler this weekend. The go fast parts have been bolted on - this car kicks ass!

What do you think is quicker - the GT or the 928?

Hi Ron - the GT is much quicker, but the 928 has a longer reach at the top. Plus the 928 in the twisties is a joy to behold, altho I will say, I have always enjoyed the live rear axle on the Mustangs. They are different cars for sure, and I am lucky to be able to have both!
I'll bring it to the next PVGP meeting this month.

Awesome!! My wife LOVES the Legend Lime cars. If they offered that color in '14 she would have wanted me to go with that color. Classic!!
