Anyone thought of ways of advertising the site? Getting the word out?

Obvously it will be easy in the warmer weather months at shows, races ect to do fliers, banners or signs. It all comes down to how much you guys want to go with this. I'm not going to waste my time if no one cares or shows up to an event.

Also, I feel like it's only a matter of time before assholes start joining. As we are now going to open it up to god knows what. I think that the rules and moderation should be known. i dont think this should become a free for all just to get traffc. I also think you should be atleast 18
to join if thats not already an option. Also, I don't even know who the moderators are any more. I would also like to nominate PaxtonShelby (Ron) to be a moderator if I could. He is a great guy, very knowledgeable and helpful. I think we all could agree on that. And no one has ever had beef or an issue with him. Id say he is a great representive to this forum. Just my 2 cents.

Jeez - thanks Barry for the kind words. I do enjoy this site and consider those of you who I know to be friends, and I'm excited to see how things go here on the interweb now that PJ is at the helm. I know he has a lot of good ideas and is working hard to build the site into something great. I will always help whenever I can, but like many of us I'm really busy with work and family, and on rare occasions, actually working on my cars!

We have plenty of assholes on here already. It is just a matter of making sure that they conduct themselves properly.

Not necessary. I have a 13 year old son who behaves wonderfully online (at least when I am watching..LOL)

See the link on the bottom of the forum main page. It shows who we are. There are going to be more soon as PJ feels it becomes necessary.

Good idea... It seems like when the weather changes for the winter, I split my focus between cars and guns so I'll be glad to see this as a sub-forum.

I wish there was a way to encourage buyers/sellers to leave feedback. I've purchased/sold quite a few things on here and most people don't bother to leave feedback.

As far as sub-forums go.. Music/Media? Hunting? Just a couple suggestions.

This is a minor caveat, but is there a setting so that if I click on a thread that I have already viewed, it goes to the last page the next time I open it? I know some other forums do this.

How can I tell by looking at the forum thread listings or "today's posts" if I've posted in a thread or not? Other than just remembering. The old site had like a crooked check-mark thingy on the envelope thingy. Maybe, I'm missing it, but can't figure it out.
