When I talked to the salesman, I basically told them I would take the truck at the advertised price, IF they changed out the plugs before my purchase. The guy shot down that idea quickly. He also said they would have no trouble selling the truck as-is and would not last long... as of yesterday it was still sitting on their lot 2.5 weeks later.

Haha good guess. This is actually the 2nd time within the past year I have tried to buy something off of them with no luck. More than likely they will not have a shot at my business a third time.
Thanks for the heads up but I'm really looking for something with lower mileage, preferably less than 40-50k. Keep me in mind if anything comes in. Like to find something 2006-2011 under $20k. Needs to atleast be an ext cab.

I have an 08 XLT with the 5.4 as does my brother in law. I only have around 55k on it. He has 120k. He had some shift issues at around 75-80k if I remember correctly. There was a TSB on it and he had the computer reflashed. Had to have a transmission rebuild at 100k though. There is a known problem with the blend door on the heating system. Either all hot or all cold. No in between. Mileage sucks. This time of year 11 mpg. Only drive 2.5 miles to work and it doesn't heat up completely though. Loving $2.29 gas.
Solomon is a bunch of jag offs in my experience and that of friends that have tried to purchase vehicles there.
