Just a bit. I just bought this thing from Texas a month ago. I needed a solid truck that I wasn't afraid to use, right now the 2011 is too nice to do shit work. I've been finding some interesting things.. Someone left a loose washer in the heads from a previous head gasket job. Somehow it didn't do any damage. And the filter screen underneath the oil cooler had 2 damaged screens. I'm glad I found them now, because they would be in high pressure oil pump very soon.

Just traded my 2011 power stroke in Saturday. Never had any issues with it other than suspension stuff but very happy with the f150 I downsized to.

That is good news. You even had the so called problem child year since it was the first run. What year F150 did you pick up?

Goat - that is one heck of a nice "farm truck"...

I don't think the guys from Street Outlaws would agree with that description.

Haha! I don't know much about the show or the farm truck, but I'm sure their motor cost more than what I paid for this thing.

I love it so far. The SD was nice but a bit much for me.
I got more in trade in that what I paid for the truck.

Not the first time I have heard that and one of the many reasons I stepped up. I got the shaft on both f150 I have owned when it was time to sell or trade them. That and they all had the leaking exhaust manifold issues over the years.

Well the time has come to decide if I want a ford extended warranty or if I say screw it and start modding.

The truck is my DD and I drive it about 300 miles a week so I see both sides of this. I have also been screwed by so called warranties in the past that didn't cover anything and always found a way out of them. I have been doing all maintenance by the scheduled time frames in the book but do everything myself.

Looks like Ford wants about $2500 for plan that I would want.

If it hasn't had many problems then I probably wouldn't get one, but if it has had a bunch of issues than I would consider it. My truck is just on powertrain warranty now and hasn't had anything go wrong, so when that runs out I'll probably go without.

That was my thinking too, the truck has been awesome and in my book will continue to be for a long time. I want to get a programmer, intake, exhaust and delete the emissions BS along with the exhaust fluid crap.

I need to keep the truck for 6 years so it benefits buying it over an F150 gas.

Good luck on the minimax. I have a friend looking for one also. Maybe he is looking in the wrong places, but he said they hard to find.

The turners that allow the removal of DPF system are getting harder to find because the EPA came down on H&S and other turners allowing the removal of the tree hugger parts that hold these tracks back.

Then we have this fun info that I keep at arms length.

Part # 109003 (Mini Maxx - Discontinued) is NOT compatible with the 2013-2014 Power Stroke. This device IS capable of removing emissions straight out of the box. This device REQUIRES additional unlock purchased for 2011-2012 PowerStroke tuning.

Part # 109007 (Mini Maxx 109007 Discontinued) IS compatible with the 2013-2014 Power Stroke. No extra unlock codes are necessary for any basic vehicle tuning. Emissions removed tuning must be unlocked via a High Sulfur Unlock. Unlocks can be obtained only from H&S Performance using their High Sulfur Application (High Sulfur Calibrations). Any vehicle being used in the United States will be denied access to high sulfur tuning unless they have EPA approval.

Part # 209007 (Mini Maxx) IS compatible with the 2013-2014 Power Stroke. There are no High Sulfur or emissions removal capabilities on this device. For a high sulfur device, you must apply through the High Sulfur Application (http://www.hsperformance.com/highsulfur/)and once approved you can purchase a special "International" device (309017 (Mini Maxx - International Software)) that is compatible with high sulfur fuel.

As far as the part numbers go, a 109003 is a race tuner that doesn't need a high sulfur unlock code to run dirty tunes this tuner is not in production, a 109007 is a street tuner that runs clean tunes but needs a high sulfur unlock code to run dirty tunes this tuner is also discontinued. This tuner was hacked by someone that could get to the dirty tunes without applying to the epa for offroad tunes, virtually making it a pre ban tuner. Now the only mini maxx left to buy is a 209007, this is the current production model. This tuner can not be hacked to run dirty tunes as the offroad tunes are not even on the tuner.

You can delete with the street tuners as well, as least you could with the 6.7 Cummins, you just have to find a tuner that has access to their custom software. Some digging on the forums should find you someone. Unless I am totally wrong and it doesn't apply to the powerstrokes.

I should have bought 50 of those ****ers when they were 700.

From what I read the street turner has to be unlocked to have the ability to delete. Yep that's an additional cost plus to run custom tunes is another unlock. That's why the street tuners are cheaper.
