No, not this time. With road construction on I70 and on the turnpike we are meeting at the eat n park in Uniontown. If you want breakfast be there at 7am if not meet us in the mall parking lot in front of Sears at 8am. We are taking I68 to I81 to Carlisle.Originally Posted by SlowSix

Were going down Friday 68 though MD to 70 and then back into PA on 81. No turnpike mess or fees.
I'll be taking the turnpike, not sure what time we are leaving yet. Hoping rain holds off for the trip

So what's up with the turnpike? I was planning on taking the turnpike out from Pittsburgh Saturday morning. Should I take 68 instead?

Construction before and around the Carlisle exit. I went thru there twice in the last month with no problem. Will be going thru there tomorrow with the truck and trailer. If a semi can make it I can too.
I live only 10 miles from 68. 68/70/81 is better road IMO with no skinny lanes and Jersey barrier. The only congestion you run into is when you merge onto 81 in Hagerstown. Carlisle exit isn't congested either like it gets off the turnpike. Also no tolls. It's a few miles longer for me but it evens out with less traffic.
we're going the pike tomorrow,construction at 70 near new Stanton then some lane shifts near carlisle
