Springfield... Picked mine up this fall and absolutely love it. Taking everything into consideration (including price) you won't be disappointed. I picked mine (bi-tone short barrel) at Hoovers in Meyersdale, they were $40-100 cheaper than everywhere else I looked. Ordered it on a Wednesday and had it Friday afternoon. I admit I forgot about Cam and his shop and did not check with him, but he has first crack on my next purchase.

the Kahr has a long trigger. it's more of a Double acation gun. you can slick them up to be pretty awesome though.

the Glock. is well a glock. 3.5 pound connector and a little polish and there you go.

the Springfield, best trigger of the group, has the gay ass back strap safety on it. those never feel quite right to me. If you shop for a springfield, make sure it has the roll pin in the grip safety those have had the recall done. KAHR is usually the cheapest of the group.

My CW45 recoils almost as soft as my CW9

good call on the roll pin, all newer models should have had this taken care of now. i personally never minded the grip safety, but i've read that some people (especially with smaller hands that it was not comfortable). if just playing around shooting, i do suggest the extended mag/grip - gives you a couple extra shots and added length makes it nice.

Have nothing but good things to say about my Springfield XD .45 Compact, had it almost 9 years now. Grip safety has never bothered me, not sure why the complaints.

Well I drove to Hoovers, Gander Mountain, an Sporing good Discounters... test held everything but the Kahr PM45. I like the XDS45 better than the Glock 36 mostly due to it's size. I sent the camaro nut sucker a text on a price for the XDS45 so I'll see what he can do

Just kidding. Honestly that's one of the worst guns I see at work. All stainless. Blowback action. Heavy ass trigger pull.

Yeah I see all kinds of odd shit at work. Criminals don't care what they get their hands on.

The way I grip a pistol it does not deactivate the grip safety reliably I have rather large hands. That's my problem with them I mostly shot full sized guns.
