I'll do upgraded factory turbos and a budget tranny build next Winter.
Thats as far as I'm going with the car.
After that the prices are even more outta me league.
The factory clutch assembly uses 7 friction plates and at the factory pressure, it begins slipping around 600tq. You can up the pressure to create more clamping on the 7 friction plates, but then you risk blowing the seals in the trans. Running a different transmission control module, can reduce the clutch engagement window, dropping temperatures, which allows for more clamping force--this could hold you around 600-650tq.
Then the problem becomes running 9s with a 4,000lb (with driver) car with only 600 or so whp and tq. The factory turbos will make peak boost of around 22psi on ethanol, but that occurs at around 4k rpm--they bleed off boost to redline down to 15-16psi. When making a run, once the turbos peak boost in 1st gear, it bleeds down once you exceed for 4k rpm and the shifts never take you below 5,500 rpm therefore you're not seeing peak boost for the majority of the run (more importantly, the back half).
The only way to overcome this is by either:
A) replace the factory turbos with something that has a larger wheel to make more boost at higher RPMs or
B) reduce weight
Option B is an interesting proposition because not only will reducing weight make it easier for the said HP to move the car more quickly, but it also eases the stress on the transmission to clamp and pull the car out of the hole. This will keep the clutches cooler and more grip getting the most power to the ground.
So in the end, a factory turbo, full weight, factory transmission GT-R will have a VERY difficult time pulling a 9 off. Maybe a hero pass at MIR one time, but certainly not consistently. Change any one of those 3 factors (factory turbo, full weight, or factory transmission), and it becomes a different discussion. Again, just my opinion and perspective from my testing experiences.

We have all said that. Just look at my car for an example. Oh a ported factory blower is all I need, lasted a few years. Oh this 2.2 kenne bell will be all I ever need, that didn't last as long as the ported eaton. Oh this turbo kit on a factory trans will work for me. Nope lets upgrade to a built th400. Oh the car cant hook up with the IRS, lets go to a built solid bla bla bla
One secret us car guys know...Its never enough. We just cant stay happy unless we are building and going faster. The good news is that parts come down in price after time. That is the only way I can get some of the stuff I have.

Is your floor board bolted in good? With loc-tite? We don't wanna see it fly off in the 5 minute, I mean 10 sec pass it makes. Haha

Yeah...that car is quite sweet. I'm glad mine aren't at home right now...this weather is depressing enough - I don't need to stare at the toys I can't play with!
