    2015 PRP schedule

For the guys that went to WoW and saw the schedule, what do you think of the test and tunes moving to Friday nights, and the street test and tunes being on Saturdays once a month? I'm loving the Friday nights especially.

Would think there should be a better turnout on a Friday night since most don't work next day. Might see me more on TnT being a Friday.

How does the Street TnT work on a Saturday with normal racing?

I'd imagine the street night will be saturday evening, with normal racing in the morning afternoon like always.

I like the idea. I live pretty close to the track so thursdays weren't a huge deal to me, but they should have a better turnout on friday nights I'd imagine.

Then again. Could be a double edged sword. More cars more carnage. Longer waits.....

They won't be points days. It will be a test and tune, open to all, with a Day at the Races, gates at 11am, racing noon to 6pm. The Street night gates open at 8pm, racing pm-1am.

I work Monday-Friday during the day, so this change is great for me. Hoping there will be better turnouts as a result!

Chuck - Any changes to the Day at the races format from previous years? I sure wish it was more of a box / no box than the ET break like it has been.

I will be in minority, but I like the week day test and tunes better when I actually need to test. I think the Friday night format will be great for the track so I like the idea, just not so great for actually testing :(

Bob, I don't know yet. I'm with you, in that I prefer no box, but the ET breaks means there aren't that many box cars.

I think the testing will work out well on Fridays. Gates open 5:30, racing from 6:30 to midnight, and Greg has never been afraid of extending the time as needed. People can come later, say, 8pm, (getting home from work, dealing with traffic, etc), and still easily get 4 hits.

Me too, but would actually even more prefer it to be footbrake / any electronics split, but that's just a dream, lol.

Again, I hope the track does well with it, I wish I had a big tire car ;) I generally get better testing on a race day anyway, buy into Trophy, run two time trials flat out, then start driving the stripe in eliminations and at least get a few more "good" 1/8th mile data points .... Cheap way to test on a race prepped track ;)

I am footbrake for life, so I am with you for sure there!

I've tried pointing that out before, that you as long as you have DOTs and mufflers, you can run for less $$ ($20), with better track conditions, and get at least 3 passes (2 tt, 1st rd of eliminations) by running Trophy, but it has fallen on deaf ears.

Board meeting's are Thursday afternoons. I could hussle them along faster when everyone knew the CFO was going racing!
