    bumper supports.

Anybody ever make these themself? These are .058 cm steel. The reason I ask is I have access to .061 wall stainless tubing and a nice bender to make whatever I want. Just not sure if the stainless will be as strong as the cm. Trying to lighten the nose of the car as much as possible. Thanks in advance for the replys.

the CM is stronger even with the thinner wall - however either one wouldn't do any good in a crash so I would just run the SS since you have it.

Yea I understand theres no crash prtection but the car sees minimal street miles so thats not a huge concern for me. I would just like to lighten the nose as much as possible without taking away any structual integrity.

Yep made one myself near end of last race season. Car is track only now so I wasn't real worried about what it was made of. Just wanted to keep bumper cover from collapsing going down track. Weighs 4lbs.

10% street car here I don't run anything for a bumper support and I don't have any bumper collapsing issues at all. 85 coupe, goes through the traps at 128-130.
