My car doesn't have A/C, heat, or a radio. (They were factory options though! )
My car wasn't built with cats.

That being said...I'm still slower than most of you guys!

I know alot of older cars had ac as an option but heat? Damn........and not even a am-fm radio?

Plenty or cars came from the factory without ac so why does that make it not a street car?

I'm loving the excuse list put out there already.

Excuse list or some actual real world qualifications of being a "real" street car and not some gutted racer that drives his car 5 miles down the street once a year and claims that it drives on the street so its a street car?

Like I said, ask 100 people what their definition of a street car is and you will likely get 100 different answers. The list I posted is what "I" feel makes a car/truck "truly street".

My 86 is supposed to have ac, but the previous owner removed all underhood components. If I had everything it would have ac, but it's not worth $500 plus for ac. I'll just roll down my power windows. I consider it a street car. Putting a 6 pt cage in it for safety and track rules. I spray it, so I'm out anyways. Just putting in my 2 cents.

Heat was standard but I removed my heater box during the resto and didn't put it back in. Radio delete was not uncommon, as the AM and AM/8-track and AM/FM were optional.

I called out street cars that are NA........sorry if you feel slighted because you have a gutted drag car. You dont like it then go race other gutted drag cars, thats easy enough!

Seriously though..........if you have a fast drag car then why are you even messing around with us street car guys? Go get ya some of the other gutted out drag cars that are there at the track, theres tons to chose from.

Sounds like a case of little fish in a big lake vs a big fish in a little lake to me......
